Diagram: Optimization of subscribed power with storage
The MD-PCS system is a solution that allows to
to store energy during periods of low consumption or off-peak
or off-peak hours and to restore it
immediately restored
when the
risk of exceeding the subscribed power
becomes real.
It is the ideal solution to
to reduce peak power demands
which can increase the electricity bill, when they are
very high
,
infrequent
(1 to 2 times per hour) but
unavoidable
(no possibility of shifting the operation of the loads).
It consists of a modular system of bi-directional inverters specially designed to meet the energy storage needs of all types of industrial three-phase electrical installations. It allows to provide an important active power during a few minutes.
The MD-PCS is equipped with a peak load management system
capable of anticipating the risk of exceeding the subscribed power sufficiently in advance, and of ordering the batteries to discharge instantaneously, for a time sufficiently necessary to avoid the penalties for exceeding the subscribed power.
In addition, it can also be programmed to disconnect non-priority loads at controlled times, and to avoid simultaneous reconnection of these loads when the risk of overflow disappears.
In order to optimize costs, battery storage can be deferred to off-peak hours or to hours when energy is abundant, by simple parameterization.
The PCS range is composed of modules from 30 to 300 kVA that can be connected in parallel to reach capacities of several MVA.
It is therefore an interesting solution to optimize the subscribed power of most industrial installations.
The PCS system is easily integrated into the Power Studio Scada power monitoring system or any other industrial supervision system.
Benefits of our solution
- Ideal for installations with high subscribed powers and infrequent power calls;
- Equipped with an algorithm capable of predicting the risk of exceeding the subscribed power sufficiently in advance;
- Instantaneous response to surplus power injection demand;
- Possibility to schedule charging periods, during off-peak hours or other times
choice of periods ; - Unlimited capacity, thanks to the possibility of putting several modules in parallel;
- Does not generate harmonic pollution in the installation.
