Verification of lightning protection installations
Initial verification of lightning protection installations:
ELEXPERT carries out the acceptance of the works of protection against the effects of lightning. During this inspection, the work will be examined in order to determine its conformity with the lightning technical study, the standards in force and the rules of art.
The inspection includes the following phases:
- Validation of the Executed Work File (DOE) provided by the project manager (photographic assessment of the unbackfilled excavations, value of the ground connections and technical details)
- Verification of the technical data of the products and their conformity
- Inspection of compliance with standards and rules of the trade (installation of lightning arrestors and lightning rods)
- Delivery of a verification report (PV of the inspection)
- Update of the logbook.
The initial verification must be carried out at the latest 6 months after the end of the work, according to the requirements of the QUALIFOUDRE reference.
Periodic verification of lightning protection installations:
The periodic verification is annual (except in special cases).
If it reveals defects in the lightning protection system, they must be remedied as soon as possible in order to maintain the optimal effectiveness of these protections.
An annual periodic verification contract can be proposed, including visual and complete verifications corresponding to the regulations, as well as a technological watch.
