Study for upgrading MV and LV installations

  • Avoid economic losses and improve your competitiveness
  • Eliminate unscheduled stops
  • Avoid the risk of fire
  • Guarantee the safety of your employees
  • Reduce your maintenance costs

A large proportion of power supply interruptions are due to causes that can be avoided or anticipated. The list of anomalies can be long, from untimely tripping of protections due to wrong choice, wrong settings or lack of selectivity, to more serious problems causing fires or deaths, linked to faulty or inoperative earthing systems, to wrong dimensioning or even the non-existence of protections.

ELEXPERT puts at your disposal its know-how acquired in the field of diagnosis and upgrading of high and low voltage electrical installations, thanks to more than a hundred missions carried out in this field, for sectors as varied as industry, building, infrastructures or even the agricultural sector.

We have a large arsenal of measuring and diagnostic instruments, including network analyzers, earth resistance meters, loop meters, insulation meters, infrared thermography cameras, circuit breaker and differential relay testers, simulation and sizing software, injection cases, etc.

But even more than that, we have highly qualified men and women who make the difference.

Visit of your site, validation of your needs and the scope of the study

Audit of your current installation: Survey and diagnosis of the electrical network

1 – Survey and diagnosis of the existing electrical network:

  • Data collection on the unit’s electrical network: Connection to the LV and/or HV electrical network, links between panels, diagrams of existing electrical panels and distribution diagrams, protection settings.
  • Analysis of the adopted neutral regimes
  • Collection of data on recent incidents on the network.

2- Measurements and Analyses :

  • Installation of network analyzers on the secondary side of MV/LV transformers to measure the load curve and the main electrical parameters (power, harmonic distortion, power factor, etc.)
  • Measurement of the ground loops at each main LV board
  • Identification of grounding wells and measurement of current grounding values

3- Diagnostic report including:

  • Plans, diagrams and components of the current network
  • The list of non-conformities
  • The main recommendations for the compliance of the electrical network.
  • Establishment of the power balance of the installation
  • Proposal of a better adapted network architecture, if necessary
  • Design of the installation with supporting calculation notes taking into account the new proposed architecture
  • Design of a permanent monitoring system of the installation in order to anticipate incidents and improve preventive maintenance
  • Realization of the diagrams and synoptic plans of distribution.

… At the end of these three steps, and if you wish, Elexpert will help you to Carrying out the upgrading work recommended by the study report,
