A global approach

Our interventions do not stop at the installation of network analysers. Far from it. This action is only one part of a global approach that consists in doing a complete check-up of your installation. Our experience has taught us that the consequences of poor power quality are always amplified by poor ground resistance, poor choice or poor setting of protections. This is why all our interventions include a thorough examination of the entire installation. It is generally carried out as follows:

Visit of the site, interview with the persons concerned (maintenance technicians and machine operators) and recording of the anomalies observed

Survey and analysis of the existing installation, including in particular the earthing system, the types and settings of the magnetothermic protections, the differential protections and the protections against overvoltages. Identification of suitable measurement points.

Installation of network analyzers according to the phenomena to be detected (transient regimes, temporary regimes, permanent regimes) and for sufficient durations to better assess the situation. Measurements before and after decoupling of all existing compensation batteries to detect resonance phenomena and/or transient switching overvoltages (depending on the object of the study)

Measurement of earth loops at appropriate points, measurement of earth electrode values

If necessary, measurement of insulation resistance, tripping test of differential protections or protections against overcurrents

Analysis of the results in the light of international standards, depending on the phenomenon to be studied, such as: EN5010, IEEE519, IEE51159, IEC61000-4-30, IEC62305-4, etc.

If necessary, simulation of the installation with dedicated software, such as ETAP, Digsilent or Harena

Drafting of a complete report with description of solutions, calculation notes, simulation of results and calculation of return on investment.
