The Static Reactive Power Generator (SVG) is the fastest and most accurate reactive power compensation solution for balanced and unbalanced three-phase systems, as well as for installations with inductive and/or capacitive reactive power. It can be used in three-phase industrial, commercial or service installations.

Unlike capacitors, which are passive components, the SVG is an active device. It electronically generates a current with an amplitude equal to the reactive current to be compensated (case of total compensation), but in phase opposition to the latter.

The reactive current to be compensated is measured by means of external current transformers (CT).

As it is not affected by the harmonics of the installation and is not affected by the resonance phenomenon, it is the ideal solution for the compensation of reactive energy in an environment highly polluted by harmonics.

Compared to capacitor batteries, this solution offers higher levels of safety and requires very little maintenance.

The SVGs used by ELEXPERT in its solutions are of a two-tier modular design. The first level consists of racks mounted in standard cabinets, with up to 4 racks per cabinet. The cabinets are the second level of modularity since they can be mounted in parallel with up to one hundred (100) other cabinets.
